Dear Red and White Community,

Happy Spring!

As we come back to campus following April break, I hope you felt the same Spring in your step
that I do. While it’s been a long winter, we are looking forward to warm weather, spring events,
cherry blossoms and yes, for all our Seniors–graduation! There is lots to enjoy and soak in as
an NFA Wildcat.

As someone who loves sports, I wanted to share a thought I had as we enter the final quarter of
the year. For those of you who watch football, you have probably seen teams lift a single hand,
with 4 fingers extended signaling a critical moment in the game. If you haven’t seen it, check
out the picture below.

Finishing the 4th Quarter is about digging deep, revisiting early goals, addressing current issues
and living a life of passion and love. Here at NFA, you finish the 4th Quarter by focusing on
your attendance, your grades and your consistent commitment to represent yourself as a
Wildcat. Here at NFA, we enter the 4th Quarter with a sense of pride in how we have played so
far, a sense of urgency that we achieve our early goals and a deep commitment to helping each
other be successful.

Each of us has a final push and a last burst that will give us the opportunity to reach one more
level of success. For you, this may be a B+ that you can turn into an A, a commitment to not
missing another day of school or a plan to improve a relationship with a friend or faculty
member. Get your hands up, focus on your goal and let’s OWN the 4th Quarter together.
